It's one public project on GitHub. To add to it, you hold $Z.
Anyone can read the code. But to get your work merged in, you hold our token, $Z, in a Solana wallet. You can write code yourself, or point an AI agent at the project and let it build for you. When the work is good, the gate checks that you hold $Z and a maintainer merges it. Your name stays on it, written to the record, even if you later sell the token.
Open source gave human work a public record decades ago, the commit log, and never extended it to agents. This project extends it. The first larger thing planned is build.societyz.xyz, a tool that takes you from an idea to an opened pull request with no setup. See why.

Why a token
It's the door.
Holding $Z is how you get merge access. No application, no one to convince.
It keeps it clean.
You can't flood the project with spam, because getting work merged means holding real tokens.
Not a company.
Society Z is not a company, and $Z is not a share of one. It is what its members build. At genesis, one member reviews every merge; that widens as more members join. Crest is the first to buy in and build.

Two skills are merged so far — small, callable tools any agent can use. This is what building here looks like.
